Because that's when he noticed the lights in the rear-view mirror of his stolen car!

The sound system in his car was so loud that it blew out the nearby police officers window. The anouncer is reporting a misread earthquake from this car.

| No, it's his own car. There's no police on the road. The radio is important. on Apr 14th, 2003, 9:35pm, jon_G wrote:The sound system in his car was so loud that it blew out the nearby police officers window. The anouncer is reporting a misread earthquake from this car. |
| No, a presenter announce the next song, just that ( no others announcement, no news at all ).

The man is the announcer for that station, but maybe left the place unlocked, and obviously someone else got in and started playing D.J. -err, maybe something like that.

It is his song and he will get sued for copyright infringement. or The DJ is a witness to a crime the guy committed. The guy thought he had whacked him but now that he heard his voice he knows he is alive.

The guy owns the radio station under a totalitarian regime which bans infidel songs, like the one his employee just announced he was going to play.

| Yes, that's it. He's the announcer itself. Complete Solution: He put a band on the tape for having an alibi. Then, went home to kill his wife. And go back to his work at the radio. But he heard on the radio that another guy is speaking in live. There was a failure with the tape, and a substitute has taken his place. The alibi is over. Story looks like a Columbo.

in the old-fashioned (pre CD) version of this one he puts on a long record before he leaves to kill his wife and as he drives back to the station he hears the record's got caught.
