I tried to write a "Who Am I" type riddle, this is my first time though. It might not be all that good, but if I ever become unbelieveably talented, I'll come back here and post. In this state, all have lived, but staying is not an option If you try to run away, you'll find it is forbidden Reach it and you'll not know it, leave it and it dies Almost always in the shadow but not on maps it lies I apologize if it has multiple answers, the answer is unclear, if it's too easy, or if a similar one has been posted before, goodluck though.

It seems like a good riddle to me, so as some statesmen are wont to say, "bring em on". (if you have any more.) My guess,

Hey cheespuff, that seems logical. But, then it eliminates every riddle that says everyone or everybody. Wait a minute. If the baby dies on arrival, then was it a "somebody" actually? Or, if it is a "somebody" since it was a blastocyst, then babies in the womb are known to sleep. Anyway, the above examples are just as a form of explanation and not intended to address legal definitions or relegious concepts. Anyways, another guess state of rest. Everyone has rested. If you run away, you are no longer at rest. Ok, usually you know it when you reach it, but if you leave it then you are not at rest. Also, you rest in the shade, but not on a map, on the grass. Similar to some other answers. Anywho...

I take it that Speaker is correct with State of Rest, then. It certainly seemed right when he stated it. While the two words have a certain relationship in meanings, the ones used here do not correspond, so I would say that my answer was actually quite far from correct.
