This one should move along quickly. I've added some extra information that makes it somewhat repetitive and hopefully easier. My home sweet home, not mine from the start, I took from my mother who captured one part. A document signed, I took the West. One third for me, a doctor the rest. Dislike the fifth of letters for me. To gain my attention exclaim, "Hey T!" I realize I've put a bunch of riddles up at once, which I don't normally do, but I have a reason for doing this. They are of various difficulties. Hopefully this will provide some fun for those who are not interested in the more difficult ones (which not many seem to be).

Does this have to do with anything historical?

Correct, Locke. But the fourth and fifth lines are not deciphered correctly. Can anyone figure them out?

Well, I assume that the fifth line is a homophonic interpretation of the name: "Hate E". The 4th is probably something from the history of Haiti, but I don't know that well enough to say - since you shot down Papa Doc (and if he's out, Baby Doc is too).

Papa Doc and Baby Doc were definitely important figures in Haitian history, but the line "One third for me, a doctor the rest" would suggest a different answer.

Of course. "the rest" would have to refer to the Dominican Republic, not Haiti. And as far as I know, the Duvaliers had nothing to do with the Dominican Republic. But I'm afraid I'm even less well-versed in the history of the Dominican Republic than I am in that of Haiti. According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, St. Dominic's brother was a doctor (or at least, tended to the sick), but I can't find any mention of the same about Dominic himself (admittedly, I only scanned it).
