Title: ecoist's passing Post by alexb on Dec 23rd, 2009, 7:26am This is just to inform you all that Professor W. McWorter, Jr., whom you all knew under the moniker of ecoist, passed away on October 22. He was 77. There is little I can say about William, except that years ago he appeared from nowhere with suggestions for my site to which he eventually added several pages. And this is how I found about his passing. An author who is writing a book about Latin Squares asked for permission to use one of William's stories from my site. I forwarded the request to William but, to my surprise, there was no reply. An internet search brought up this obituary: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/dispatch/obituary.aspx?n=william-a-mcworter&pid=135695825 A. Bogomolny |
