Best VPN service | Can any really be trusted?

I need a VPN service (one that I can actually trust).
Thing is I've been reading up and a lot of their clauses are 'iffy'. In addition if the law approached them requesting information, they are legally required to give it. Therefore they must log everyone's usage or they would be an illegal VPN service. Although since serveral people will be using the same IP shadowing will any of it matter anyway, because of the masses of data ect.

Anyone got any suggestions, please?

I use AirVPN. They claim there's no logging.

Of course, when it comes down to it, anyone can claim anything. It's not that important to me that I checked myself what legal requirements they have with regard to data-retention. It's just convenient if, say, I want access to region-limited services (like some Youtube videos, or BBC iPlayer etc).

If you want anonymity rather than privacy, you can also try TOR. And if you're really paranoid about it, use Tails (short version: it's a stateless OS)

You could also get a VPS and set up your own proxy/VPN. And/or route through the thousands of public proxies available.

At the moment I'm using PIA, likewise they claim not to log, but when it comes down to it ...

Use to use tor, but it started getting slow so I moved on.

Might look into building my own - always seemed appealing, just always lacked the knowledge to do it. Guess I'm gonna have to learn (:

Thanks.

I use HMA. It is not free (quite expensive) but I am happy about it.
