you have a coupon from ur favourite fast food outlet, Happy Hamburger. the fine print on the coupon reads "this coupon expires tomorrow".
when does the coupon expire?
(take some time to think about it).

well if u think about it logically; if ur gonna make a coupon that never expires then why would u bother putting an expiry date on it?
i think theres a different answer.

Most coupons have a date on them. If it is going to say something like, "this coupon expires tomorrow," it is most likely stamped with the date of issuance, but maybe I am being too practical.

It seems like what is needed is the reference point "today". Once we decide on which day the statement applies, then we know when the expiry date is for the coupon. Without this fixed "today" date, then there can be no fixed expiry date.
I can think of a number of cases that you could maybe argue:
1) "today" is the date the coupon was printed
2) "today" is the date you first read the coupon
3) "today" is the date the cashier first reads the coupon
All these have their advantages and their disadvantages.

This seems like a very unique advertising tactic, to get you to act fast, and also to save money on advertising costs. I would think the coupon expires "The day after the person first reads the coupon" which is different from "It never expires". Therefore, Happy Hamburger and you have to base your transaction on trust.

What if the people did't see the coupon until 3 days after it was received by someone. Would that mean they are not allowed to use the coupon. If they got it on the third day after it was distributed, technically they should be stilled allowed to use it, because to them, tommorow has not yet arrived, unless there was an issuance date on the coupon. If there was not a date of issuance I would have to think this would be a case of false advertising. Which is a place Happy Hamburger does not want to go. So they would probably have to honor the coupon and trust the customers, to avoid a litigation.

If coupon is not with the specific date, how can you determine. It means that coupon can't be expire.
