1. E, N, T, E, T, T, F...
2. No idea, it strangely resembles 1...
3. S, E, N, T
4. P, but I don't really get the bit visitor said about it starting with SUN, unless he/she meant the actual star.  But then, seince when was the sun a planet?
5. I hate to admit I missed this one at first.  It should have been way obvious to me. Just repeat the sequence, unless you want D', R', M'...
6.  I had to read visitor's comment for that one, and I don't know what comes next either.
7. Don't know

Give these two a go (they're related)
8. S, D, T, Q, Q...
9. T, Q, P, H, H, O...

EDIT: Fixed up mistake in 9.
Edit2: Am idiot.  Fixed one of the problems I found, but not the other...

Is the first letter in 2 supposed to be "E"? Then I think it's:
2. N, T, T, T, ...

Well I'll take a stab at 8 and 9.
8) SSO
9) Well its obvious we are doing 3,4,5,6,7,8
but of what ?
Nearest I can get is shapes but the the S should be a H.
If this is the case then there will be big discussion about the
next 3 numbers !
enneagon, decagon, hendecagon   versus
nonagon, decagon, undecagon.

No, #2 is correct the way it's written.

On 2, oh right, I get it. It is correct as given.

A clue for 7... what month were you born in?

I agree about 9... I think one letter should be changed -- it's Latin vs. Greek prefixes, right?

10 has an answer similar to 8, I believe. I don't know about 11.

To demonstrate Margit's concern that #9 will develop much discussion...

I believe that #9 should be written: T, T, P, H, H, O, ...

hidden:

I'm sure that we all read the first as trigon, not triangle. However, quadrilateral is also the Latin form, whereas the Greek form for a 4-gon is tetragon.

And as Margit explained, a 9-gon can be called a nonagon or an enneagon, and although the former is more common today, the latter is perhaps more appropriate in that it is closer to the Greek.

An 11-gon has two acceptable Greek forms: hendecagon and endecagon. There is no h in Greek, but the word is aspirated because there is a rough breathe above the epsilon in en. So it is sounded hen, but in its transliteration both forms are valid. However, undecagon is a Latin/Greek hybrid and would not be an option.

For what it is worth, my vote goes to enneagon and hendecagon.

If we confine the result to just prefixes, then tri, quadra, penta, hexa, hepta and octa are completely acceptable with the next in the sequence being "n" for nona and "d' for deca.  We can argue the differences in how we label 2-D and 3-D structures, but that does not have much bearing on the answer that was sought.

The problem is ambiguity...

hidden:
If we allow a mixture of prefixes: Latin and Greek forms, then it is impossible to find the next term; unless there is a sub-pattern to this choice as well?!

However, if we accept that it is exclusively Greek form prefixes, then it must be: T, T, P, H, H, O, with the next being E (enneagon). Although nonagon is more common today, the prefix nona- is borrowed from the Latin, nonus, the ordinal form of nine (ninth).
