D'oh. Should have spotted that one... Ah well, at least my initial instincts for this kind of puzzle are correct, even if I then can't work out why...

The given answer was wholesale auto yard. How about EZ_LOONY's FIITEN?

Infinity. By the way, while I was trying to solve the wholesale rebus, I Googled "wholesale car yard" to see if it was a common English phrase. Since I only found three results, and wholesale car lot did little better, I figured the last word must have been something like pace or step. This led me to my guesses of carpets and car parts.

Nice, Grimbal. I was thinking along the lines of there is an "ite" in "fin." In fin, ite. Oh, I see I typed infinity in my previous post instead of infinite. A little slip up there. Sorry if I confused anyone.

It jokingly fits with teenager CSI. I don't know if there are rules are about when posting new ones is acceptable, but I guess I'll just throw this out there. I know I have a knack for the less-innocuous riddles. Bum-fellows

| It doesn't. I was first searching in the direction of X in Y, it didn't work, so I dropped that idea. I then started in a fresh direction and came up with the teenager solution.

Very clever. I figured that would be a similar guess, though I wasn't expecting the homophone. It fits so I guess it's an alternate.
