Okay, so maybe i do have enough time to post the answer for the first one:

[hide]When you pick a card the first time (after clicking one of the three eyeballs), pay close attention to the other cards that you can choose from. In the next page, where the card you had supoosedly picked is now vanished magically, try to remember the other cards that you could have picked. Are any of them still there? NO. The first set of cards are completely replaced by a second set of cards[/hide]

I think you took the easy way to explain the symbol selection.  [hide]I think you tried with a number and listed all the numbers with the same symbol.  But not all of them are possible answers. The possible numbers are only multiples of 9, up to 81 and not including 0.

Choose a two digits number: xy.  We know that x is not 0, both x and y are positive integers < 10.  The value of that number is 10x + y.
Add the two digits: x + y
and substract that from the original number: (10x + y) - (x + y) = 9x

As we know 0 < x < 10, the 9 only possible solutions are: 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81.  The other values that share the symbol change each time you play and are only there to hide the pattern.[/hide]

Okay, Thanks for you mathmatical way to explain it. So basically all multiples of 9 will work on that sort of problem, right?

Yes, except for a two digit number, there is no way to get 90 as a result, so they can give it a different symbol than the rest.

There is already a thread for this puzzle (http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~wwu/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=riddles_easy;action=display;num=1049678669). (In fact the thread predates Wu's posting of it on the puzzles page.) You will note that it is in the "EASY" forum, just like this puzzle is on the "EASY" puzzle page.
