Title: Swan Lakes. Post by rloginunix on Feb 20th, 2014, 11:55am Swan Lakes. A flock of swans is approaching a group of lakes. Every time the swans are flying over a lake one half of them plus half-a-swan land while the remaining swans continue on to the next lake. In that fashion all the swans land on 7 lakes. How many swans were in the flock? (This is the second problem in a series of three related ones. The first problem is "The Devil and the Loiterer". The third and the last one is "The Devil, Swans, Two Eggs and a 100-story building"). |
