Obvious guess: [hide]213[/hide]

It's not 100% satisfying because it doesn't account for all features of the question, but it derives from a feature that's unlikely to arise by chance, so, if it's not the intended answer, then it's probably related in some way.

Your guess is the intended answer.

Any ideas for the 1st riddle, where both answers are not obvious, even though advanced math is not an issue at all?

Sorry because the answer wasn't entirely satisfying. "I can't get no satisfaction . . ." - Mick Jagger.

Your witty guess is actually the correct answer for b). Any ideas for a)?

Good.  I was afraid Peano's axioms would count as too advanced math.

for a) the correct answer is 2
the correct question is actually a) 29438167

I myself was thinking 4. After the "first" 7 comes 4 and after the "second" 7 comes nothing. Silly, isn't it?
