Title: Smullyan's Two Envelopes Paradox

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two_envelopes_problem#The_hardest_problem

I think the second statement is not true. "Let the amounts in the envelopes be Y and 2Y. Now by swapping, if you gain you gain Y but if you lose you also lose Y. So the amount you might gain is equal to the amount you might lose."

If you gain you pick Y, if you lose you pick 2Y. So the value is not constant.

What do you think?

If you gain, you go from Y to 2Y, difference: Y
If you loose, you go from 2Y to Y, difference: Y
