1) On each row place two letters that can be attached to the beginning of the word to the right to form a longer word. When the eight letters are concatenated in the order abcd they form which word?

a) - - C H I N
b) - - S I N
c) - - T R I T E
d) - - C U R E

2) The following groups of letters are taken from which three connected words?
EVIS
OGRA
HANN

3) Place a word in the brackets that has the same meaning as the words on either side:
AIRCRAFT DOOR (       ) INCUBATE

4) Which two words are closest in meaning?
a) LOGICAL, EPHEMERAL, BRIEF, PLACID, IMMORTAL, PRECISE

I opted for 'possible', too. But the newspaper gives 'ordinary' as correct.
FANCIFUL:
a) characterized by or dispaying fancy in design, fantastic, odd in appearance
b) suggested by fancy, imaginary, unreal
