Why do birds like England.

Not really a microsoft interview question but it could be and it seems to fit in with the rest of the questions here.
There could well be lots of answers but i am looking for a semi-logical one in the end.
I thought of this while I was....(that will be the first clue)

They don't like to be called chicks.

Yeah I realise England complains a lot so the clue wasn't that great. ;D
You might have just said the one I was looking for though.

This really is pretty bad, but its the best I could think up.

Birds like England because there, they are not cows, so they can not be suspected of mad cow disease.  (maybe a little outdated...).

Oh, come ON!

[hide]They like it because of all the cricket.[/hide]

I don't think all birds would be interested in that..
I imagine pinguins and ostriches for two could care less.

Nevertheless, on a generalization, I think we can agree that birds like insects. So, in that context it must be [hide]because of the cricket !![/hide]

Nah, I really can't agree. Too many species of birds have entirely different diets.

towr,

I'm not sure what JCJC454 intended, but perhaps you can agree that for the birds natively found in England, they like insects generally?

At least, I've never heard of Penguins or Ostriches from England.

Hawk don't, owls don't, in general, birds of prey don't. And there's also a class birds that rather eat vegetation. Like geese, which eat grass; and ducks and swans as well.
And I can't say I've seen pigeons eat insects; but admittedly I've mostly seen them eat the remains of what people drop/throw on the streets. I don't know what they're natural diet is. But isn't their feed typically seeds?

Or worms.

I have to concede this one guys. It really does seem that a bird's diet is much more ... gourmet than I first imagined.  :)

Many birds travel the whole world during a year. this may be due to the best weather conditions and the food.

I interned with (link removed)'s American office (they have a little office in SOMA) over the summer and I heard this one :/. I worked with an English dude and he told me:

[hide]because English chicks are easy[/hide]

That species prefer the weather.

Good luck,
