Hey there. Can anyone help me solve this Laplace transform problems:

1. Using laplace transform find functions x(t) & y(t) that satisfy x=y=0 at t-0 and
       x' + 2y' + x = t
       -x' - y' + y = 1

2. Suppose the equations above had been
       x' + 2y' + x = exp^(t^2)
      -x' - y' + y = 1/(1 - t)
Explain briefly why u couldnt have used the same method as for part 1 to solve it

Thanks for your help in advance. cheers
