How to put a personal picture

Hi everybody
I have a small problem
I want to put a picture under my name, but I think that I must have a personal site where it will be saved. However I don't have one and I really am not good with computers (just the basics in word excel, you know, computer illiterate).
Is there an alternative or I must create a site just to upload a small gif?

It might be worthwhile to get some free webspace for storing various files, such as GIFs or other documents. Then you can link off that website. One source of webspace is geocities:
http://geocities.yahoo.com/
There you can get a free account with 15 mb of storage.
If this is more work than you'd like to do, you can also just email me the gif and i'll store it.

You can also post a message here, and put the image file as an attachement on the post. That will put the image file on this site. While looking at your post, you can right click on the image to see its "Properties", which includes the correct web address of the picture to add to your profile.
I just tried it with one of the images I posted a while ago, and it works. Please avoid gigantic image files, since they can take a while to download for modem users.

The picture is stretched to fit 65x65 pixels.
That is why the pixels become more visible.
