Keyboard Malfunction (?)

Guys, I'm having a bit of trouble with my notebook. I've recently formatted it, changing from Windows Vista to 7. All my hardware seems to work fine, especially after I've updated the drivers with the latest version. The only hiccup I noticed is my keyboard, for some reason, the @ sign changes position with the " sign. What I mean is, every time I hit Shift + 2, I'd get " instead of @, and when I hit Shift + ', I'd get @ instead of ".

Now, it's not that big a deal, but it's been bothering me, because I don't know why it's acting up that way. I've updated the driver for my keyboard; Windows say its the latest version. I even used Driver Detective, and it also says I have the latest version. What do you guys think ?

FYI, I'm using Toshiba Satellite M300.

Sounds like you got stuck with a keyboard layout other than the one you used to have. If so, try the instructions at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/258824 to change it (or at least to see what it currently is).

[edit]lol, someone with the opposite problem:
"Help! Shift 2 is @, shift ' is " - how can I change it back? "
Seems to be UK layout vs US layout[/edit]
