Title: Extra YaBB Functionality Needed
Post by william wu on Aug 8th, 2002, 4:50pm
The following functionality is needed:

1) How to merge topics in YaBB
2) How to alphabetize topics in YaBB

I spent a little time looking for mods that can do these things, but no luck. If anyone knows how to accomplish this, please let me know. Thanks!

Ye, I've had a bunch of yabb requests, too, although I don't remember them all right now.

You know what else would be nice, for example, is the ability to choose how often you get emails on thread notifications.  Right now I get hammered with those things, and I really don't have time to check every time one comes in.  It would be nice to be able to select some lower priority mailings like "For this set of threads, only email me once a day [resp hour or whatever] with all the updates."  It would also be quite nice to be able to see who is doing the posting.

Another thing that would be nice is to beable to sort by different features besides time of last post, such as number of replies or number of hits.

Can any of these things be done?

I'll perhaps post more when I remember some of my other sugegstions.

Best,
Eric

If you ever find the time, could you also look into the question of why YaBB cannot stop itself from reformatting spaces even if you use the preformatted text tags, or constant width fonts? For example, there are 10 spaces between the colons on the first line, 20 spaces on the second line, and 40 spaces on the third. There are no spaces in front of the colons on any line. All the lines are enclosed by [ pre ][ /pre ]:

Another question would be why does it show preformatted and teletype text at a reduced size?
