Title: What's wrong with Search?
Post by Cerberus on Apr 1st, 2009, 10:47am
None of the Searches I do ever come up with a single thread... even if I choose a thread and search for a word that is in the thread title, and all through the thread!

What am I doing wrong?

Did you check boxes for the forums to search? And for older threads you need to set the maximum age back.

Thanks...  ::) I thought that the default was that they all get searched, as it is on another forum I frequent.

Geez, I can't even answer the 'how to search' riddle... no wonder I came looking for other answers!  ;)

I increased the default max age from 1 year to 10 years.

For the record, I'm finding that Google does an excellent job searching the forum.
For those who are not familiar with the syntax, here's how to search the forum on Google: add

Code:
site:ocf.berkeley.edu/~wwu

to your search line, for instance:

Code:
"3 hats" site:ocf.berkeley.edu/~wwu
