What gives? Do others have the same problem or you think it is a virus?

It's because the webserver has switched to https, but in the html of the forum http is still used, so the browser decides that the javascript is not safe and refuses to execute it.

That's also why (in some browsers at least) you'll get a warning when posting, because the form is posted from https to http.

There isn't really something that can easily be done about it.
William should update a few things on the server, but I'm starting to think he never got the mail I send him.

Until the board gets updated, I've updated my Math Symbols script (http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~wwu/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=riddles_suggestions;action=display;num=1171644142) to fix this issue as well.

I've only tested it under modern Firefox, but I expect the fix to work anywhere user scripts are supported. (Note that the Howto at the top of that thread is 6 years out-of-date, but hopefully it still points in the right general direction...)
