4. his girl-friend (Caz)
5. mother's friend

How come he was at the bottom?
Did he wear concrete shoes, or was he somehow tied to the ground?

Yeah! Another "Who done it".

What do his parents have to say about it?
What time did everybody leave, and who did they leave with?

1. Mother: i don't understand. How could he die? Who would want to kill him. (she burst into tears .)
Father: Why him? Why? It all my fault. It was my idea to go swimming to meet his girl-friend, it all my fault. We should not have gone. But why him?

2. The body was found by Caz. She was very upset and when the ambulance came she want to go on. She left with Dan's mother's friend who took her home. The parents when to the hospital. The man, after trying to help, left alone.

Based on the thread title, I say it was the work of Dark Elves! Cool

Ask them all where they were when he died. How come they did not see it if they were all there at the pool?

Were there any marks on his body;
Was there any evidence found at the bottom of the pool or on or around his body?
How was he tied down?

1. Check under the fingernails of suspects for skin of Dan.
2. Whose stuff is in the locker?
3. did the 'man doing laps' knew Dan or his parents?

At this point, I think it was a consipiracy between all of them. If Dan was a 'great swimmer', he would have made SOME noise when being pulled down (in a fight). How come no one heard?

BTW: (4) Check Dan's blood for drugs.

2. Ask MDL why he hates father
3. Ask mother and mother's freinds what were Dan's father feelings toward him
4. Ask father why he said "it's all my fault"

As for the hint, I didn't even see it before... I guess we have to search for fingerprints somewhere... but where? maybe:
5. Check fingerprints on Dan's locker -- does it match any of the suspects' fingerprints?
