A man in a strange place

A man was put in a strange place, and got lost. The only things he could see were many seas and volcanoes. After a few hours, he found himself with other people, going home. Where was he, and why?

Turkey is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea, and the Aegean Sea, plus has several inactive volcanoes, including Nemrut, Suphan, and Tendurek.

As for what the man was doing there (assuming, of course, that Turkey is the place), I haven't the foggiest. But I will be thinking about it as I go to bed and lie awake thinking... waiting for that elusive thing called sleep...

The man is an astronaut on the moon or orbiting around the moon. He could see the seas of the moon

He's on the shuttle with his mates ... and they went back to Earth (home).

You can only believe i what you can prove, and since you have nothing proven to cmpare to, you can believe in nothing.

I have ~50 posts to hack a "R" into a "D". Which one?

I was thinking about the Moon because of the moon landing celebration.

A special ceremony is due to be held at the White House today as the US celebrates the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing. The crew of Apollo 11 - Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins - are all due to attend today's event, where they will be honoured by President Barack Obama.

Conspiracy theorists still think that the moon landing was a fake?

why do some still believe it was faked?

Psychologists have come up with interesting insights: high levels of dopamine, for example.

The man was clearly at the movies.  The man couldn't understand what was going on and left when it was done.

He was playing a WoW style game, went through a portal to a random new mountainous area and took a couple of hours to find his way out.

Why? Because of his addictive personality and a lack of drive to leave his apartment.

The theory goes that a million monkeys typing at a million typewriter will produce the entire works of Shakespeare. Now, thanks to the internet, we know that's not true.

Because the moon landings were hoaxed by the US government to assert their victory in the space race over Russia. Tongue

The undisputed proof that moon landings were faked is that there is no McDonald's on the Moon.
