Sudden death

A hypochondriac in his thirties is afraid he’ll die in his sleep and soon even though he is in good health. It is like so because he had a dream in which the devil appeared and told him this. A week after the dream he lies in his bed certain he’ll die. How can he be so sure? No other living beings or unmentioned objects have a role in the riddle.

Since Death isn't living, and the Devil was mentioned previously, they (I guess) are allowed to be a part of the riddle.
