Same kind as 'Stolen painting', suspects and a crime.
You ask question and then come up with a Sherlock Homes guess ;D .

Here it goes:

A bank manager was killed during the robbery of his bank :'(. Only 1/2 of the vaults were emptied as the robber run off when he heard the police closing in. The robber however managed to escape with the money.

Who did it? How? and Why?

Suspects:

1. Wife of, now dead, manager,
2. Toy store manager from across the street,
3. A girl working in the bank called Lyra,
4. A millionaire kept his money in the bank,
5. And we can't forget the cleaner ;D

You can ask the suspects as many question as you like.

Off you go Sherlock Homes. ;)

I really feel sorry for these cleaners you've got working for you. Oh, the pressure they have to endure.
Anyway, it was obviously an inside job considering the robber knew where the money was.
I think Lyra is an interesting name. The hard thing about figuring out these riddles, is the angle you are coming from.
How was the manager killed?
What evidence was found, and what was the scene of the crime like?

:) Here we go again.
First, is the wife having an affair with the cleaner again? ;D

Second, I seperate the suspects and interigate them as to where they were and what they saw.

And third, Why didn't the cleaner do his job and clean up the water in the vault, thats why he was fired from the art museum, any more of this and he will be blacklisted from all janitorial positions.

Well Watson what do you think?

1. No the cleaner is not have an affair with the wife. ;D

2.

Wife:
I was on my way back from the shops when i saw someone run out. I can't see who it was only that is was a man dressed in black.

Toy person:
I was in my shop when I heard a gun shot but i did think anything had happened. i just relised when i heard the police coming. i went to the the bank to find the manager dead.

Lyra:
I m blind so i m afraid i did not see anything. I just heard someone come in. A man. He spoke to the manger. A voice i have heard before. He said "Revenge is mine at last." and shot him. I dashed to the phone and dialled the police. Thats i can tell you, i not allowed to say anymore i m sorry.

Millionaire:
I don't see why i m a suspect. I did not do anything. I was in my house all day. I just heard gun shot followed by the sound of the police cars. I rushed out, took some time from the swimming pool and to get changed, down the street to the bank which was surround by police men. It such shame. Tony was such a good friend.

Cleaner:
The plumming went weird. Water went everywhere. I went to the basement to check. When i went back up the find the manger dead and the toy shop manager standing there.

The girl, Lyra, her eye are as if they had been burnted. :'( It does not look that bad but you can see it has happened.

1. I ask Lyra what happened to make her blind or who did it?
And why can't she tell me more?

2. I ask the wife if she can vouch for the toy store manager, since she was nearby at some shops?

3. I ask the toy store manager if he got there before the police?

4. I ask the wife if her husband had wronged the millionare in anyway so that he would want revenge.(I know why he's a suspect)

5. I see what colors these people are wearing? :P well that should uncover something. ;) Well Watson?

When your blind it's not something you can do anything about, you just live with it like a normal person. The job was not hard to find as Lyra can cope very well. She talken this job as a part time as she is still doing her studies. She has coped with it since she was 10.

But the millionaire said he was swimming in his pool (his daughter heard him swimming (she blind like Lyra) and plumbing in the bank did get broken.

A friend, now an emeny, got dranken and kidnapped the girls asking for a ransom and when i got then back their eyes had been burnt out. I don't know why he did it, i don't understand.

Yes there are. They show the manger hiding something in a hidden vault. Then someone, dressed in black comes in and shots him. The man is quite tall. Lyra is seen in the corner pettrified dailing the phone number. Then the toy manager enters getbefore the cleaner comes back into the room.

Got there in the end. :D

2. I inquire on what was used to break the water pipes?

3. I ask Lyra if she knows of a hidden vault?

All the evidence points pretty clearly to the millionaire, but just to be on the safe side, let me review:

So the Toy store manager and the Millionaire are the only possibilities among the listed suspects. To clear things up:
How much time does the bank camera show between the killer leaving and the Toy store manager arriving? Was it enough time for the Toy store manager to have been the killer, change clothes, and then show back up in the bank when he did?

Second: Do the news clips say any important details about the bank manager's crime? What kind of "doggy deed" did the manager commit? Sniffing behinds? Pooping in yards? Drinking from toilets?

THe time between is 5 minutes. It could be the toy manager if he can get changed very fast but the wife saw the murder run out of the bank and up the street towards the millionaire's home.

Doggy deed is like he became broke and got money by doing something illegal. THe newpaper don't tell you what as they do not really know.

(That would be a dodgy deed ;)). If the newspaper didn't know, what did they do a story on?

Was the banker saving the clippings for his libel case?

Anyway, since everyone else is now cleared (If the killer was seen running to the millionaire's house, presumably he couldn't have changed clothes and got back in 5 minutes), the next thing to do is search the millionaire's house. Also the bank manager's house. What do we find?

???Oh mommy, all I can come up with is: Both the manager and the millionaire pulled off the kidnapping(by the way, how long had the millionaire been a millionaire?), the manager took it too far by hurting the girls, and the millionaire exacted revenge on him. This doesn't add up for me though.

Okay - It's time to give our boy the third degree. We set him in a chair and shine a bright light in his face. We call for some rubber hose, and tell him he best start talking now. When he says that we can't do that because its against the rules, we tell him "they're not really rules - they're more like suggestions."

Why did the manager kidnap the girls? What was your part in that affair? Why were the girls blinded? Did you have any debts to pay off 10 years ago? Where did you get your money from? You're already gonna fry for killing him, so you might as well make it easy for yourself by talking!

he does know, ok? HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED THAT NIGHT AND HE WAS NOT INVOLVED ONLY THE GIRLS WERE. HE TOLD YOU ALL HE KNOWs. ::)

To tell you the truth Kitty, the only thing that hints at a motive for the man, you've denied the existance of any evidence for and had everybody refuse to answer questions about. Without anything to go on, we are never going to get an answer! The only thing I could see to do here if I were a cop is to grill everybody until one of the starts talking!

I would set both girls, the millionaire, and the banker's wife down (separately) and keep questioning them about this incident 10 years ago until one of them breaks. The millionaire is CLEARLY LYING when he says he knows nothing about it.

How long has Lyra worked at the bank?

But you guys HAVE the clues. He said when murdering the bank-manager 'REVENGE IS MINE'. Now lets think, has the bank-manager done ANYTHING to make the millionaire murder him? ;)

All the clue are there apart why the
bank manger took the girl which you will find in the office of the bank-manager. But you don't really need to find this did out because the question is:

Who did it? Why? and How?

Why: [hide]As soon as the millionaire gained his inheritance and became The Millionaire, The Manager kidnapped his daughter and her friend and held them for ransom. The Millionaire hastily payed; however the manager felt he shouldn't let them go without a little harm, so he burnt their eyes. Extensive medical procedures were needed, these cost a lot of money. So, The Millionaire killed The Manager to get revenge for all the extra inheritance money he caused him to spend trying to help his daughter.[/hide]

The Manager did NOT kidnapped for ransom originally it just seemed to be that way. ([hide] the answer is IN THE B.MANAGER OFFICE.[/hide]-)

The why i was looking for was simply revenge for his blind daughter and her friend.

But well done. You can go on trying to find why the manager kidnapped the girl ( LOOK IN OFFICE :P)

THe diary entery 1990:

The girls must of known, heard somehow.
They were standing there waiting.
Waiting for want was the question.
But we all knew.
They were there to catch us.
The foolish girls.
They didn't even call the police.
It was easy. We caught them from behind.
The girls struggled but could not get free.
"Stop," i hissed into their ear, "it will be worse for you if you keep moving."
The girl stopped.
Tears tricked down their cheeks but they didn't dare to move, to wipe the tear away, they were teriffied.
The rest of the gang came out with the stolen jewels.
The orders to leave were immediate.
But we could not leave the girls.
The girls were tied up and left with me.
One of the girls, her name was Laura or something like that, looked at me, fury burning in her eyes. "Why are you doing this? Why do you steal. You know you'll be caught."
I don't know what made me do it.
I pulled out my lighter and helded infront of her eyes.
"Look into the flame, LOOK. Let your sight be locked away with the secret you will now keep forever. I warn you if you tell anyone your tongue will disappear too."
I put the flame into her eyes.
Screams were heard miles away.
The other girl screamed too "Stop it please stop it."
I turned on her and burnt her eyes too.
Evilness filled me but i didn't care.
I laughed at the scream...It just happened so fast. The flame died away and looked at the to girls looking terrified with blooded pouring out of their eyes.

Now i know i've done something terrible.
The gift of sight was given to the girls and i taken it away. Revenge will kill me soon, it will, unless shame kills me first...

I made this one up with my friends. We were tying to make a really hard to trick my friends' dad but it just got very confusing instead.

Ouch. :-[ I'd hate to get burnt in the eyes with a lighter. But wouldn't acid be more effective?

no, acid most likely only burns the outside, which can be replaced. The heat/light from the fire does a more thourough job at destroying any chance of repair.. Unless you do an eye transplant (which would be difficult but not impossible..)
