Title: Jumping from a plane Post by maryl on Jun 27th, 2003, 4:11pm Shortly after jumping from an aircraft at 5000 or so feet, a man deploys his parachute. When he looks up he sees a rather large hole in his parachute. Nonetheless he lands safely without assistance and without using his reserve chute. Why did he survive? |

Title: Re: Jumping from a plane Post by aero_guy on Jul 16th, 2003, 11:05am Though I realize it is solved, another good answer would be that he was on the ground, 5000 ft above sea level and inspecting his parachute. |
