Two men were tried infront of the jury. One was convitited of murder, the other was inocent. The Judge turned to the guilty man and said "Although you are guilty, I cannot send you to jail" what happened here?

Or perhaps it was discovered that [hide]the guilty man was found to have diplomatic immunity[/hide] or perhaps [hide]the guilty man was just diagnosed with a terrible disease that had to be managed in a hospital[/hide] or perhaps [hide]the judge only presided over the "guilty or not guilty" case but was not going to preside over the sentencing phase of the trial[/hide] or perhaps [hide]in the country where this trial took place, the punishment for murder was a slap on the wrist[/hide] or perhaps [hide]the judge was insane and thought his job was to make rediculous comments[/hide] or perhaps [hide]the judge's daughter was being held captive and would be killed if he sent the mafia boss to jail[/hide].
