Title: How can this be..?
Post by mercy on Apr 25th, 2010, 10:40pm
A woman shoots her husband.
Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes.
Finally, she hangs him.
But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together.

How can this be..?

Hmm, seems no one here has worked in a dark room... ;)

Now, that's a vaguely predictable work around of the sig rule...  :(

Movie making would also allow this...

(EDIT as towr is about to point out, there was a post prior to this that was a one line of token text, and a link to a site. The participant had onl;y posted two posts, both one line of text, and a url...)

It doesn't save him/her from deletion though.

Isn't it, though?  But it's an actual riddle, and in the right section and everything, so I didn't see a strong case for deletion.  Assuming mercy (http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~wwu/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?action=viewprofile;username=mercy) and Wilmamercy (http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~wwu/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?action=viewprofile;username=Wilmamercy) are one-and-the-same, at least the new policy is forcing link spammers to participate in the forums, and I think that's about the best we can hope for. :-/

Actually, I think Noke Lieu was referring to a post I have since deleted, and not the opening post.

Ahh, well that would make a bit more sense.

There was another one recently which, among other things, claimed that honey was effective in treating cancer. So it was deleted.

We might as well add to the policy that moderators will remove suspicious-looking posts.
Oops, that is already in the policy.

Anyway, I wonder if this kind of promoting pages is still working.  I would guess Google has started classifying link types, and that a personal link on a forum profile page shouldn't count much in ranking a web site.

Before I forget, do you have scientific evidence that honey is not effective in treating cancer?  Is there any conclusive research, and not funded by companies selling more expensive chemotherapy drugs?  ;)
Just joking.

Honey might be effective in treating cancer if you're dating an oncologist. But only if you call her Honey, obviously.

Right. :) Or it could be a veterinary.

Or an astrologist.

Maybe she is a photographer.

How would a photographer treat cancer? Or are we back on the original topic?

I took exception to that claim because I once had colon cancer, aka bowel cancer. Had 1/3 of my large intestine removed. That might sound bad but there was one guy in the ward who had all his bowel removed. He has to wear a colostomy bag under his clothes. (They are pretty small these days.) When he was leaving I wanted to shout after him (but didn't because I didn't know him that well) "Hey John, in future if somebody calls you a useless asshole, will they be right?" LOL

How can this be..?

He had a bulletproof vest, a scuba set and she didn't hang him by the neck.

Or she did hang him by the neck but only for a few seconds.

Or he is Peter Colat, a Swiss freediver. He held his breath underwater for 19 minutes and 21 seconds, breaking the world record in breath-holding.
