A 12-hour candle burned continuously for one day. How is this possible?

I am not a naked scientist but this sounds like a pretty good answer to me. It is not the intended answer though.

So "a 12-hour candle burned continuously for one day" does not necessarily mean it burned continuously for a period of 24 hours?

How about crossing the IDL?

The candle is made in 12 hours?

The candle is very spicy?  It burns when you eat it and it burns when ... well ... when it comes out again, for a total of 24 hours?

Is the day that it burned for [hide]a day on Jupiter or Saturn?[/hide]  If so, then [hide]I'm not sure where it got the Oxygen to burn from!  Perhaps they make oxygen masks for candles now.[/hide]

Or perhaps the Day is actually [hide]Doris Day; she may well like having candles burned for her.  And I'm sure if she ever dies, many more 12hr candles will be burned continuously for her as well.[/hide]

You win although I was thinking of [hide]a particular day like e.g. Father's Day.[/hide]

If you drink the melted wax of a candle it will become solid soon, I guess in in your throat or stomach. How to remove it? I don’t know. Perhaps with Mr Muscle.
