Lights Out (True Humorous Story)

Puzzle:

A company's public bathroom. The lights are not on. Complete darkness. Complete silence. The one and the only person in the bathroom (in a stall) with his/her pants down is standing up and waving his/her hands in the air frantically.

Come up with a realistic explanation - what did just happen and what that person is trying to achieve?

Correct.

And the irony spills into the part number two. A reliable source told me that waving hands (and jumping up and down) did not really help.

What can be deduced from that?

Or he was a general manager of the company which went  bankrupt. It is then when he lost his mind.

Or he used the toilet so now he is trying to repel the unpleasant odor. It just so happens it is blackout.

Or he is exercising because he woke up stiff in the middle of the night. Just as captain is the last one to leave his sinking ship, he nurtures a similar philosophy, but the janitor was fatigued so he locked him up in his company and then went home to get a good night's sleep.

Or he is stuck in the bathroom because he is dumb, blind and paraplegic and so he knows not whether it is day or night. And since it is a big company he logically awaits for someone to come on in and use the toilet. And since some women are light as a feather, there just might be one thin beauty already inside the bathroom but he can't hear her until she flushes the toilet which might be broken.

The stall walls block the motion sensor?

The motion sensor is only over the entrance?

It's a fantasy. He pretends that he is waving to American people as the next president of the United States. If Obama was the president, he could live in the White House as well. And of course, he is scared of people like Lee Harvey Oswald so naturally he is frantic.

Correct (a fact discovered the hard way, ;D)

This actually happened to a certain C/UNIX programmer who, once, had to come to work on Saturday (to perform an important software installation). The campus was virtually empty, bathroom traffic virtually non-existent.

The lights did eventually turn on but the last few steps required careful sequencing as in:

step into a shower then take the clothes off vs take the clothes off then step into a shower

A core dump?

Incidentally, that might even trigger the light censor.
