There are ten similar houses lined up. A hooligan, who soon after tragically dies in a knife fight, marks one door with an X by using a graffiti sprayer and then passes along the information to his gang. The unfortunate person inside is targeted for severe beating. Luckily, he notices the X sign on time but — he is not able to remove it and the hooligans are on their way which is what he strongly suspects. Interestingly enough, he has a graffiti sprayer himself and of the same color but — that is all he can use at the moment. Still, he gets off the hook. How?

He calls the police?

He puts a cross on the 9 other doors?

He unhooks the door and switches it with a neighbor's? (the one with a big tree dropping leaves in your garden)

He adds an "E" left and "IT" right of the X?

He used his McGuyver knife to unscrew the hook?

Not bad. But, I wonder if there is time and whether or not his neighbor is home. And what if he is Chuck Norris!?
