A man lies in his bed and covers himself with a blanket. He wishes for one more blanket to be warm enough, but a blanket is in another room. He has an idea, that is to say, w/o getting up and leaving his bedroom he does not wish for another blanket anymore. Why not?

He has ADHD. He has an idea and he forgets about the blanket.

He remembers that he has a loaded gun under his pillow an commits suicide.

He remembers there are homeless peopole who use old newspapers as a blanket. He realizes he is already lucky to have one.

First guess is not bad. However, no unmentioned objects (or wives) have a role in the riddle. To cut a long story short. You are not thinking yet which, happens to be untypical for You.

This happens to be a serious riddle. And since members here are serious, being serious riddlers and all, I am puzzled as to why, oh why! the riddle hasn't been solved yet?!

If the blanket is large enough to still cover him when folded double, that would solve his problem.
