Title: Trick Questions.
Post by Noke Lieu on Aug 1st, 2004, 9:35pm
We are bound to have a heap of them. So lets hear them.
I am thinking of questions along the lines of:

There are three apples... you take two apples away, how many do you have?

Birds on a wire, farmer shoots one, how many left?

How do you add two to eleven to make one?

You're a bus driver, six people on, three people off, 2 on, three off, 7 on, 2 off.... what colour is the bus driver's shirt?

Just interested in getting a few. We can discuss the anwers too, but just after questions at the moment.

Oh, and any topology demos other than wirecuffs?

<insert appropriately long word here>. How do you spell it?

Or, for a truly poor one:

A peacock's egg is twice as heavy as a chicken's egg, but is also twice as long. Which egg is wider? ::[hide] peacocks don't lay eggs...[/hide]::

Might think of some more later

Yeah, they're not bad.

More after number based ones though.
there's one the participant mentally adds 10,  20,  30, 40 then adding 100 stuffs it up. Not garuanteed, but it works often enough. will hunt for it...

about your doctor w/ the pills one.  you don't say wether or not they had to take one right away, so it could either be 1 and 1/2 hours or just 1 hour, depending on when they take the first one

The doctor answer is 1 hour.  1:00, 1:30, and 2:00 = 1 hour

I think this is what you were looking for....

Take 1000. Add 40. Add another 1000. Add 30. 1000 again. Plus 20. Plus 1000. And plus 10. What is the total?

Hey, sorry I have been so wayward of late... in deepest darkest Tasmania, and have been SERIOUSLY busy, haven't even thought about this part of my life...

T&B, yes that's an acceptable answer, but not my favourite... not the true intended answer. No peeking now... [hide] use a clock [/hide]
