Bookly will renew your all your books on the Gladis library
system at UC Berkeley.
You can ask Bookly to simply renew all your books once, or, if
you
like, Bookly can renew all your books on a daily basis. This way,
unless there's a hold on your books, you will not have to worry about
needing to manually renew your books.
In both cases you will need to enter your patron (student) ID
and
your (library) PIN. If you are not sure
what your ID or PIN is, see
explanation below.
If you want Bookly to renew your books on a daily basis, please enter
your email address in the "e-mail address" text-box, and choose a
notification rate. Bookly can report your book renewal status on a
regular basis as you desire (the default is monthly). Also, you can choose to be notified
whenever an error is encountered during a renewal attempt (this is the default action).
Choose "Daily" to have Bookly renew your books every weekday (this is the default action), "Once" to see how Bookly renews all your books (this can take a while especially if you have many books...)
To remove yourself from the list simply enter your ID and
choose "Stop". Your PIN is not needed in this case. No information is
retained in the system once you are removed.
Your patron ID is:
| Students: | The number on your student ID. |
| Faculty/Staff: | The bar-code number on back of your library card. |
| If not present, use your campus employee number. | |
| All Others: | The bar-code number on back of your library card. |
| If not present, go to Service Desk Main Library. |
For UCB students, faculty, and staff, your BIRTH month and day
(ex.
May 3 =
0503) is your PIN. For others, use the PIN you requested when you
got your Library card. To establish a PIN, go to the Doe Library
Privileges Desk.
The Bookly service comes with absolutely no warranties. It may
be
terminated
at ANY TIME. By using this service you agree not to hold Bookly liable
for anything which results from its function, whether stated or
otherwise. You acknowledge the possibility of Bookly not working and
realize that it is up to you to check that your book are really getting
renewed. You are responsible for paying late fees if you incur them. Et
cetera! You get the point.
