Code

My notable open-source contributions include

imatlab

A Jupyter kernel for MATLAB – the underlying language stays questionable, but at least you get the niceties of vi/emacs-mode editing in the console, or the notebook interface, depending on your taste.

ipython-autoimport

Automagically import missing modules into IPython, while staying safe from side-effects.

mplcairo

A cairo backend for Matplotlib.

mplcursors

Interactive data selection cursors for Matplotlib.

pypi2pkgbuild

Convert PyPI packages into Arch Linux PKGBUILD, with proper dependency management and while maintaining interoperability with pacman.

redeal

A program that deals bridge hands that satisfy given constraints and can compute statistics about them – inspired from Thomas Andrews’ Deal. It includes an interface to Bo Haglund’s double dummy solver.

I am also Deputy Project Lead and Principal Engineer for the Matplotlib project.
