I am a student at the University of Arizona and former memerber of Scottsdale, AZ’s St. Apkar’s ACYO. I have been posting things all week about the genocide and how I am honoring it when an odar friend of mine mentioned the memorial on the lawn that you have assembled. She sent me a picture of it and asked if I knew the significance. Your replica of Tsitsernakaberd is truly stunning! I was just in Hyestan over the summer and visited the memorial and to see the picture that she sent to me warmed my heart. I am truly envious of the Armenian communities and ASA that California schools have and wish that there was a larger Armenian community in Tucson. Good luck with your week’s activities.
