Evans Hall Coloring Contest Winners



Five excellent entries were recieved for the Evans Hall Coloring Contest. Our panel of ten judges, representing majors ranging from Molecular and Cellular Biology to History to Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, ranked each of the entries as well as the present day decor of Evans Hall.

Second Place: Tom Barber
Third Place: Chrystine Holden
Fourth Place: Yan Huang
Fifth Place: Elizabeth Weber

Not surprisingly, the current decor of Evans finished dead last. Not one judge even ranked it in his or her top two.

Leong's design was very popular, and was the favorite among half the judges. Barber's design, which also featured "camouflage", came in second, just ahead of Holden's design. A couple of the judges liked Holden's plan for a rooftop pool and deck. Although Huang's design was quite plain, all but two judges preferred it over the present color scheme. Finally, while many judges were turned off by the purple color of Weber's design, one liked it for that very reason.

The Evans Hall Coloring Contest is not sponsored or affiliated with/by anybody or any organization. It is wheelchair accessible. Entries will not be returned unless entrant includes a self addressed stamped envelope or lives at Unit 3.
