Dear Carrot,

I, too, am using a human translator...these machines just really aren't up to the subtleties of Catlish, so, like you, I am using the human speak.

Your web page was referred to me by your old friend Shauna...she (according to the other humans in her family) is my sister, so I suppose that means that you and I must be related, if only by adoption. I am 12 years old and am quite beautiful (and modest). My coat is shades of white, gray, and black, with here and there a tiny hint of brown. I have very dark outlining around my lovely eyes...Shauna's grandmother used to say that I had eyeliner.

You are sooooright about the work a cat has to do. It is all I can do to keep up with shedding on all the spots that need my attention each day. I try to be sure to get dark fur on the white furniture in the living room and on the pastel pillows in the guest room; that requires trips to both the ground and middle floors of this townhouse. THEN, I have to move myself to the THIRD floor so that I can properly coat the dark green chair with some of my white fur. I spend my nights on the bed and have nearly gotten all parts of the comforter marked with pin holes. When all this sleeping in various spots is added on to the necessary howling for food and messing in my litter box, I'm sure you can appreciate my rough days (and nights). And I am no longer a young woman (at least in this life).

You are lucky to have been able to keep (almost) one home, even if you have had to change humans. MY family dragged me from my home in Michigan, where I had lived contentedly for seven years, here to California. I had to ride in a cage in the belly of an airplane, and it was stressful to say the least. Count your lucky tunas that you have been spared such a journey.

Whew. I am exhausted from all this miaowing and meowing. I'm glad to hear that you are doing so well and have found a good human with whom to share your home.

Your adopted aunt (?) Rikki

Carrot...I neglected to mention to you that your web page is fantastic and you are a very pretty cat...coming from a female feline, this is quite a compliment!
