24 exams were submitted and scores ranged from 32% to 93%.
The mean score was 73.29%.
As a result, I curved the test adding two points to each exam.
The scores then ranged from 34% to 95% and the mean score was then
75.29%.
The numerical score will correspond to a letter grade as follows:
Grade | Percentages | # Receiving |
A | 90-100% | 5 |
B | 80-89% | 8 |
C | 70-79% | 3 |
D | 60-69% | 3 |
F | <60% | 5 |
As stated on the syllabus, anyone may retake the first exam during the
final exam period. It will be similar in structure to this exam.
During the final exam period the fourth exam will also be given, so anyone
who wishes to retake this exam must be careful to manage their time accordingly.
While anyone may retake this exam, if you turn it in to me, I will count
the score from your second attempt only, even if it is worse. So,
you should only turn it in if you feel you did better.
