Initial Assignment:
0) Get an e-mail address (if you don't already have one.) Here's instructions on getting a free one.
1) Buy a NEW textbook, not a used one.
2) Get two 3 1/2" floppy disks.
3) Begin reading the LPL Software manual, and the Introduction and Chapter 1 of the text.

Assignment due by Wednesday 1/30 at the beginning of class:
1) Exercises 1.2-1.5, 1.9, 1.10, 1.12, and 1.16.
2) Begin Reading Chapter 2, pages 41-44.
