If you'd like an adventure, there are a number of rafting companies available that can take you down the Rio Grande. In Jemez you can cliff dive, or in Sandia you can hang glide. The World's Longest Tram takes you up to a the top of the peak where you can watch or participate in the hangliding. Or, if you have a hot air balloon you can participate in Albuquerque's Balloon Fiesta. If you'd rather stay near the ground, Los Alamos has some of the best, most challenging mountain biking around. And there are bike trails all through Northern New Mexico.
To relax you can go to one of the the Jemez hotsprings or Ojo Caliente for free. Ten Thousand waves in Santa Fe is a hotspring facility you will have to pay for, but you have the option of getting hot wraps, massages or facials.
To sighsee you can take the Cumbres and Toltec Train which runs through some of the most beautiful areas of Northern new Mexico. It is mereley for sightseeing, so it goes comparitively slow and only has windows in first class. Otherwise, you are out in the open (with a covering on the top.)
Gaming is a recent addition to recreation. You can go any time of day or night to the Pueblo's casinos and try you luck at gambling, or you can have a $1.50 breakfast buffet. Cities of Gold in Pojoaque, Ohkay in San Juan, and Camel Rock in Tesuque are a few of the larger casinos.
