Dam

One of my favorite parts of the trip was building this dam. This tight shot doesn't really give you the perspective to appreciate the size of it. We estimated that the dam was over 100 feet tall when we finished it. Just kidding, but it was fun to play in the river. Also when we finished it, Brian and I were hanging out and saw something I won't soon forget. A big black bird flew by, and landed across the river. I thought it looked like a bald eagle, but Brian said it was a crow with something white in its mouth. After we looked more closely, we noticed that it WAS a crow - with a bald eagle in its mouth! Now, that's something you don't see every day. We both regret not having a camera handy for that.
