Founded in 1974 as the Engineer's Joint Council

Our mission still reflects the original purpose of the EJC

Since the Engineer's Joint Council founding, we have continually supported the engineering student body at Berkeley through advocating for students' rights within the Collge of Engineering, supporting over 85 engineering student organizations, and hosting events to bring together the engineering community.

For over 30 years, ESC has been responsible for handling and disbursing ASUC funds to engineering student organizations. We also host one of the largest organization spaces on campus as well as one of the largest engineering themed events on campus, Engineer's Week.
