Tests: Ended Up Right Where I Started

So last Saturday I had the Taekwondo belt test. It was pretty long, but shorter than I thought it would be. Last semester when I tested I had to go home early because Mom and Dad were here, but this time I stayed the whole time. I was almost the last one tested anyways, since they tested the green belts at the same time. Actually, the yellow with green tip was the last, but I was yellow, so I was second to last. After the test, the gang went to Cafe Durant. Ha, I didn’t know that was Cafe Durant, it turns out I had been there before.

Then yesterday I had another test. This was my final for CS161: Computer Security. Overall, it was an easy test, but I was tired because I had to fix the computer that my research group was going to use for the presentation. Did I mention that my presentation was scheduled an hour and a half before my exam? Anyways, because of the fixing of the computer (linux sucks sometimes!) I didn’t get a lot of sleep. That was the problem, because the test was the easy kind, with lots of tricky traps. It’s kind of like the SAT or GRE in that regard. I’m pretty sure I missed easy points here and there for not being thoughtful enough, even though I checked over my answers a million times before I handed it in. Basically, the test was designed for an hour and a half, even though we had 3 hours to finish it. Well, an interesting thing is that this test happened in 1 Leconte. This was the very same lecture hall where I had Physics 7A, my very first class at Berkeley.

I guess I ended up right where I started, after all.

Hearts

While wasting time today when I was supposed to be studying for Finals, I played a perfect game of Hearts.

The bad news is that my Final is tomorrow, right after the presentation I have to give for  my research.
:-(.

Parking Permit

Just gotta say that I’m so glad I got the parking permit. First of all, it was a pain to use the BART when I have to also drive to Richmond Field Station. That place sucks; the bus that goes to RFS stops running at 6pm. Not only that, you have to pay $1.50 even if you’re a Berkeley student. That’s why it makes no sense to ride the RFS Line. But if I have to drive, it means I have to park somewhere near Berkeley. That used to be BART, but that makes no sense, either. Why park at BART when you can park on campus. So that’s why I got permit. It’s actually worked out pretty well because the day after I got my permit, I injured my ankle, and I just happened to be parked under the Recreational Sports Facility. Convenient!

Crutches

Yea, so even though Tang Centers typically give people two weeks to give the crutches back, I gave the crutches back last Friday. Why? Crutches are stupid if you want to use them in Berkeley. They are fine for flat lands, but if you ever tried walking uphill or especially downhill with crutches, you will know what I mean. Besides that, even though crutches make you walk twice as fast, it’s ten times as tiring to use them. This is my first time using crutches, though, so I can say I’ve used crutches before :-/. Anyways, I’m still wearing the air cast because my ankle seems to swell up randomly if I don’t wear them. Hopefully, I can walk normally next week and take my Tae Kwon Do PE test :cross fingers:.
