Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)

Thought it was pretty good, better than the first couple of ones that I’ve watched. This is also the only one where I actually read the book. Since I’ve read the book, I can be pretentious and say, “yes, the book was better :-D.”

Well, I happen to be one of those people who lives upstairs to someone, but I feel that it is unfair and unreasonable to demand me to be any more quiet than I am. Even when I am tip-toeing across my apartment, the person who lives below me claims that I’m being too loud. What am I supposed to do, not walk? I think some self-righteous people think that upstairs people make all these noise on purpose, but some of us just happen to have apartments that come with wooden floors. It’s not like the management’s going to change it to carpet just because I can’t tip-toe quietly enough for the person below me. I’m not really sure what I should do, as I empathize with the person who lives below me. At the same time, I feel like I’m being blamed for purposely making loud noises when I’m trying my best to be quiet.

Water went out while I was washing my hair :-D.

Había un apagón hoy. Parece que el apagón estaba ampliado a Ohio al norte y al Olímpico al sur. El tráfico estuvo muy mal a la intersección de Santa Mónica y Westwood porque el signo tráfico estaba roto a esta intersección. Esta intersección tiene seis carriles cada dirección en Santa Mónica (dos carriles por izquierda y un carril por derecha) y dos carriles cada dirrección en Westwood (un carril por izquierda y un carril por derecha). Así, se puede imaginar cualquier tráfico estaba a esta intersección. Afortunadamente, me paseo de la bicicleta a UCLA por mi clase de Taekwondo, así no necesito pasar por el tráfico :-).

Otra cosa del apagón es que cuando ocurrió, muchos vecinos vinieron de sus apartamentos. Yo, también, y descubrí que uno de mis vecinos, del apartamento 108, es muy caliente. La lección es que cuando un apagón ocurre, definitivamente vaya al exterior para conocer sus vecinos.

There was a blackout today. It seems that the blackout was extended to Ohio in the North and to Olympic to the South. The traffic was very bad at the intersection of Santa Monica and Westwood because the traffic signal was broken at this intersection. This intersection has sex lanes each direction on Santa Monica (two lanes for left turn and one lane for right turn) and two lanes each direction on Westwood (one lane for left turn and one lane for right turn). So, one can imagine what kind of traffic was at this intersection. Fortunately, I ride my bicycle to UCLA for my Taekwondo class, so I do not need to go through the traffic :-).

Another thing about the blackout is that when it happened, many neighbors came out from their apartments. Me, too, and I discovered that one of my neighbors, from apartment 108, is very hot. The lesson is that when a blackout occurs, definitely go outside to know your neighbors.
