Women do not pursue STEM careers at the same rate as their male counterparts, especially careers that focus on computer science and engineering. According to the National Science Board Science & Engineering indicators, in 2015 women earned only about 20% of engineering degrees in the United States. In mechanical engineering women only earned about 13% of these degrees!

Our entire nation suffers when women do not choose to pursue STEM. Women have unique perspectives on solving some of our nations greatest problems. When their voices are missing our whole society suffers.

Become a sponsor of UC Berkeley EYH to encourage and support young women in pursuing STEM careers! Donations will be used to provide scholarships for the girls, and will cover the cost of providing snacks and lunch. EYH conferences help girls learn about new careers and help girls understand their future career opportunities.
