Salar Fattahi
I am a Ph.D. candidate in the department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, University of California, Berkeley. I am being advised by Professor Javad Lavaei and Professor Somayeh Sojoudi. I also collaborate closely with Professor Alper Atamturk. My research focuses on designing and analyzing computational methods for complex and large scale optimization problems in control, machine learning, and power systems.

I have received several awards, including INFORMS Data Mining Best Paper Award - Applied Track, Katta G. Murty Best Paper Award, Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award, and IEOR Faculty Fellowship Award. I was also a finalist for American Control Conference Best Paper Award.
