Kaji Ryouji

Kaji Ryouji is a government agent working at NERV. His task is to gather information about NERV for the Japanese government. Basically, the guy's a spy.

Kaji is particularly fond of Misato and Shinji. He has shared information and insight with them to hint at what NERV truly is. Neither Misato nor Shinji understand NERV, although the two have re-built their lives around the organization. Kaji has a much better understanding of NERV because he has dealt with its darker, secretive side.
