Global Medical Brigades at UC Berkeley

We are currently recruiting for our summer 2020 medical brigade to Honduras! Come work with licensed medical professionals and community health workers to provide comprehensive health services by setting up mobile medical clinics in rural communities with limited access to health care, and make some lasting friends and memories along the way.

Thank you to all those who came out to our info sessions this month and submitted an application! We apologize for the later start to our chapter this semester due to delays in room reservation approval. We will be sending out an email with information about our first general meeting as soon as the issues have been resolved. On the bright side, we have been in contact with our program associate and were able to confirm our trip destination AND dates for Summer 2019! We will announce both of these details at our first general meeting, so make sure to look out for our next email with the info about it! We appreciate your patience!

Come learn more about Global Medical Brigades and meet the Executive Board members at our informational sessions on Thursday, September 6th in 9 Evans from 8-9PM and Monday, September 10th in 9 Evans from 8-9PM! The same content will be presented at both session, so you only have to attend one. Bring your friends and anyone who you think will be interested! Hope to see you all there!

Thank you for your interest in joining Global Health Brigades at Berkeley! Applications are now open for our Winter 2018 medical, dental, and public health brigades. Please email gmbberkeley@gmail.com with your completed application or if you have any questions about our program.

Global Health Brigades at Berkeley is part of the world’s largest student-led sustainable development organization. We travel to Honduras twice a year to develop sustainable health initiatives and to provide relief where there is limited access to healthcare. We welcome all majors! You do not have to speak Spanish or be pre-med to participate in a brigade. A DeCal course is offered to facilitate discussion about poverty and health outcomes in Latin America during spring semester.
