About Us

We're a student-run organization with a passion for the sport of handball. We enjoy all the challenging aspects the game has to offer, including but not limited to: mental quickness, agility, endurance, ambidexterity, technique, and discipline. But playing handball is not all we do. Besides practicing and enhancing our game, we develop ourselves outside the court. Personal growth, leadership and responsibility are important core values to our team.

To this end, we strive to develop our club with active members and officers. By working as a team, we host events, improve our game, market ourselves, and recruit the next generation of handballers. The group schedules events, and competes in local and national tournaments.

We invite you - as a student of the University of California Berkeley - to become the strongest version of yourself, and play handball!

Tournament Play

We often put our skills to the test against other competing players and schools. Similar to tennis, each player is "ranked" based on the individual's strengths in different areas of play. One starts from "D", or beginner level, and ascends to "A", and ultimately "Open" level. In tournaments, we compete with players similar to our level: An "Open" player competes with the best, while a "D" player competes against other "D" players.

Challenge Ladder

The motivation of the challenge ladder is to keep our skills in check. As players constantly challenge one another, the ladder reflects the most current state of the rankings in the team.
