About JGRB
Japanese Graduates and Researchers Society at Berkeley (JGRB) launched
in May 2009.
It is a registered student organization of University of
California at Berkeley for local Japanese graduates and researchers.
JGRB serves as a social function for graduates, researchers, and
alumni around Berkeley, as a guide for prospective students about
application, and as a bridge between Japanese communities at UC
Berkeley and the external organizations.
The main activities of JGRB are as follows:
- to create opportunities for Japanese graduate students and
researchers to interact across various disciplines in casual
atmosphere
- to enjoy tasty Japanese foods and drinks
- to organize the mailing list and the website for members to
communicate beneficial information: achievements, recruiting, local
events, etc.
- to respond to inquiries from Japanese prospective students about UC Berkeley
- to act as a link between the Campus and any other organizations
interested in JGRB
JGRB will hold welcome parties at the beginning of academic year and
small gatherings during semester. The information on our activities
will be available on this website and through our mailing list.
